The National Creative Writing Industry Day 2021 took place in November 2021 in the Geoffrey Manton Building at Manchester Metropolitan University and welcomed 60 aspiring writers.
Our keynote speaker was award-winning author Caleb Azumah Nelson (Open Water) whose debut novel won the Costa Book Award for First Novel in 2022- watch his keynote speech here.
Following the keynote we ran a panel sessions on
The Paths of Northern Writers with Kya Buller (Aurelia Magazine), Desiree Reynolds and Richard Smyth.

Agent One-to-Ones took place with representative from the Eve White Literary Agency, Caskie Mushens, Julia Silk, The Good Literary Agency and DGA Ltd.

Literary agencies such as Janklow & Nesbit, Eve White, Blake Friedmann, Madeleine Milburn, Diane Banks Associates, MBA, Kingsford Campbell, LAW, DGA, WGM, Greene & Heaton, Knight Hall, Marjacq Scripts, Golden Egg Academy, The Ruppin Agency were represented at the Fair in 2018, as well as publishers such as Canongate, The Emma Press and Rebellion.
